Introduction:

You began looking at minerals by defining what a mineral is through answering four questions. (I hope you know them!)  We then went a step farther to look at minerals at the atomic level, using the periodic table of elements.  Finally, you read about how minerals form and discussed mining for such minerals.

Today’s goal:

1.                              Watching the video stream “Geologist’s Notebook: What exactly are minerals?” The video is in the United Streaming-7 folder of the desk top of the computers and laptops.

2.                              Take the quiz at the end.  Put your name, period, and date at the top.  There are five questions.  Answer each TRUE or FALSE

3.                              Go back to room 220 and watch Pennsylvania mining video.
