CATASAUQUA AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT Catasauqua, Pennsylvania 2009-2010 BOARD GOALS
1. Maintain the Catasauqua Area School District priority on curriculum instruction and technology integration relative to District standards, PA State regulations, and PA standards by supporting the ongoing curriculum review and development process.
2. Apply the results of data analysis to improve student performance and organizational efficiencies.
3. Support administrative efforts for the continual development and evaluation of building level academic and social initiatives aligned with educational best practices for all students.
4. Continue dialogue with our local, state, and federal legislators in order to cooperatively provide adequate and equitable funding for the Catasauqua Area School District
5. Continue to develop the Catasauqua Area School District as a model district by hiring the most qualified individuals, recognizing the talents of our employees, providing valuable evaluative feedback, and implementing high quality programs that benefit our students.
6. Evaluate and assess the implementation of the comprehensive K-12 literacy action plan and continue literacy development based on identified student needs.
7. Support administration in the initiation of a comprehensive K-12 assessment analysis.
8. Support administration in the research, planning, and potential institution of enrichment and recovery learning options.
