High School senior who has been accepted into a four-year college program.
School activities and volunteer school and community service activities are extremely important. More than one (1) scholarship may be awarded. The amount of this scholarship varies each year. |

HAFNER MEMORIAL AWARD (CLASS OF 1976) |
A one hundred dollar
($100.00) award will be given to a senior who is planning to major in
biology in college. Participation in the Catasauqua High School Band is important but not required to apply. Financial need will be considered. |
| CATASAUQUA AREA
EDUCATION ASSOCIATION (CAEA) SCHOLARSHIP |
A five hundred dollar ($500.00) award will be given to a senior who is intending to enter the teaching profession. The student must be accepted into a four-year college to pursue an education degree. |
| CATASAUQUA COMMUNITY
THRIFT SHOP AWARD |
A one hundred dollar
($100.00) award will be given to two (2) seniors, one (1) girl and one
(1) boy, who have contributed most to community service in Catasauqua.
Please submit a volunteer service application to the Guidance Office as soon as possible (these forms are available in the Guidance Office) in addition to the local scholarship application. |

AWARD |
This award is given
in memory of Dennis Snell, a former North Catasauqua law enforcement officer.
This one hundred dollar ($100.00) award will be given to a senior graduate who is planning to major in some form of criminal justice or law enforcement career in college. |
| DR. DALE BOWEN ENVIRONMENTAL
CONSERVATION AWARD |
A two hundred fifty dollar ($250.00) award will be given to the senior student who has shown the most interest in the conservation of our environmental resources. The applicant should be considering a major in college which indicates interest in environmental conservation. |

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD |
For students planning
to enter Lehigh University in the fall for 1999. Awards - 2 students based
on academics and need.
Amount of award - $1,250.00 each. This scholarship is available to a student one time only; it is not renewable each year. |

A one hundred dollar
($100.00) award is available to a graduating senior who has financial need.
Future success in college or trade school will be considered. |

WOTRING MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP |
This scholarship will be awarded to a student(s) who will be attending an approved trade, technical, vocational or business school OR Lehigh or Northampton Community Colleges Career Program. More than one (1) scholarship may be awarded. The applicants must be at least 17 years old and can be either a Catasauqua High School senior or an adult community member who has previously attended Catasauqua High School for two or more years. The amount of this scholarship will vary yearly. Student applicants must submit two letters of recommendation in addition to the local scholarship application. |

COLLEGE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP |
A one thousand dollar ($1,000.00) scholarship is available for one (1) graduating high school senior who is planning to attend Lehigh Carbon Community College. The applicant must have a minimum of a "B" average. A copy of the FAFSA financial aid application and the family's income tax forms must also be submitted. |
| LEHIGH CARBON COMMUNITY
COLLEGE GRANT TO ENCOURAGE CAMPUS DIVERSITY |
A one thousand dollar
($1,000.00) scholarship (renewable) for students planning to attend LCCC
for a two year associate degree or a one year certificate program.
Preference given to candidates representing diversity. Ex. Black, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islander, American Indian or Alaskan Native. |

SCHOLARSHIP |
This scholarship may be received by only one (1) student per family. Therefore, a student is ineligible to apply if another brother or sister has received this award. The applicant must be accepted by a college to apply. It is a renewable scholarship and recipients will receive this award for four years of college study. The present grade point average and class rank are extremely important. Financial need will be considered. |

The Raymond F. Hoffman
Educational Fund has been established to grant interest-free loans for
Catasauqua High School students to attend college.
This award is renewable for up to four years of college. Payback of the loan amount will begin one year after graduation or final withdrawal from college and must be a minimum of twenty five dollars ($25.00) per month. |

MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD |
A fifty dollar ($50.00) award will be given to one (1) female and one (1) male student for a strong leadership record and good character. Activities (both in school and out of school) are extremely important. |
| ROTARY CLUB OF CATASAUQUA
SCHOLARSHIP |
Applicants must be accepted by and will enter an accredited institution of higher education to pursue a four year course leading to a degree. These scholarships will be payable to the recipients after the student begins the second semester of study at college, providing the grade point average from the first semester of study is acceptable. |
