Superintendent Evaluation
Superintendent Evaluation
As per Act 141 of 2012, the Superintendent of Catasauqua Area School District will be assessed according to the following objective performance standards:
1. CASD shall meet the standard for student growth as measured by the Pennsylvania Value-Added Assessment System (“PVAAS”) in both Math and Reading for grades 4-8 and for grades 9-11 for the most recent year for which data is available at the time of the annual performance assessment.
These assessments are currently based on the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (“PSSA”) tests. If PVAAS changes its reporting methodology so that one or more of the four measurements identified in this clause (Math 4-8, Reading 4-8, Math 9-11, Reading 9-11) is no longer reported (such as by changing grade groupings, subject identification, and/or underlying tests), but there is a successor report substantially similar to the current measurement, then the successor report shall replace the current measurement and CASD shall meet the PVAAS standard for student growth under the successor report; and if there is no such substantially similar successor report for any given year, then that particular objective performance standard shall be deemed satisfied for that year.
