Purposes of Action Research:
- To create a climate of school improvement
- To promote professional problem-solving
- To enhance decision-making
- To promote reflection
Objective:
To conduct an informal research study by gathering data pertaining to a specific research question of interest to a teacher or group of teachers and modifying practice as a result of the conclusions derived from the research.
Action Research Guidelines:
- Action Research Consists of Four Steps:

- Collecting Data
- Analyzing & Interpreting Data
- Drawing Conclusions & Sharing Findings
Action Research Documentation:
- Action Research Proposal (one form per group)
- Mid-Year Action Research Progress Report (one form per group)
- Year-End Action Research Summary of Findings (one form per group)
