    The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program is a $3.2 billion broadband subsidy program that will connect eligible households with free or discounted broadband service during the COVID-19 emergency. This temporary federal program is designed to provide consumers with up to $50 off the standard monthly rates of broadband Internet service. The FCC has started the enrollment process as of May12, 2021.

The Emergency Broadband Benefit Program
Helping people stay connected during the COVID-19 pandemic. A
 federal program that provides a temporary discount on monthly broadband bills for qualifying low-income households.
 
The Affordable Connectivity Program through Federal Communications Commission is a benefit program that helps ensure that households can afford the broadband they need for work, school, healthcare and more. The benefit provides a discount of up to $30 per month toward internet service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers if they contribute more than $10 and less than $50 toward the purchase price. The Affordable Connectivity Program is limited to one monthly service discount and one device discount per household.
 
Federal Lifeline Program
Lifeline is one of the four federal Universal Service programs (E-rate is also one) that lowers the monthly cost of phone or internet for low-income households.  Eligible customers can receive up to $9.25 toward their bill.  https://www.lifelinesupport.org/
 
Internetfirst
Easy, affordable high speed internet. Reliable, fast internet access is a necessity! We offer affordable internet access to qualifying low income households. Because it’s important to stay connected, get the homework done, and more – we provide peace of mind with internet for you and your family. The program has been extended until June 30, 2020.
Qualified households are eligible for:
  • First 60 days of complimentary Internet First service, followed by $9.95/month for 10 months.
  • Service includes 25 Mbps speed, modem and standard WiFi.
  • Eligible for individuals who qualify for public assistance programs like the National School Lunch Program, housing assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, and others.

    Offers open hot-spots, unlimited data to existing customers, and $10/month plans to low income families
  2. Verizon COVID-19 response
    No special offers, but following the FCC agreement
  3. Sprint COVID-19 response
    Follows FCC agreement, provides unlimited data to existing customers, and, starting Tuesday, 3/17/2020, will allow all handsets to enable hot-spots for 60 days at no extra charge
  4. T-Mobile COVID-19 response
    Follows FCC agreement, plus unlimited data to existing customers, and, coming soon, will allow all handsets to enable hot-spots for 60 days at no extra charge.
