    ArtsQuest Summer Art Camps

    ArtsQuest’s Summer Art Camp at the Banana Factory Arts Center offers eight weeks of fun and engaging art-making classes and activities for children ages 4-18. Our youngest artists (ages 4-9) will explore the artistic process through making, learning about, seeing, and discussing art in the classrooms, studios, and galleries at the Banana Factory.  Over the course of the week, campers will experiment with a variety of materials and processes, including drawing, painting, fiber arts, sculpture, mixed media, and more. Projects are designed to teach campers fundamental skills in art, while encouraging each student to express themselves creatively and in their own style. At the end of each week, students will showcase their work to family and friends at the Art Party! 

    All camps take place at the Banana Factory Arts Center, which is located at 25 W. Third St. in Bethlehem, PA, 18015.

    Baum School of Art Summer Camps

     
    The Baum School of Art is a community non-profit visual arts school located in downtown Allentown.

    Our mission is to enrich lives through arts education and we achieve our mission through our tuition classes for children, teens, and adults, and our many community outreach programs. In 2022-2023 we served over 3,200 students in art, design, and fashion. Our programs are open to anyone who wishes to study art—we celebrate diversity and welcome all community members, regardless of gender, social status, race, or beliefs.

    Bear Creek Mountain Camp

    Each summer, our Mountain Camp invites young explorers (ages 6-15) to explore and play among the scenic 330 acres at our resort.

    The Bear Creek Mountain Camp is a week-long adventure camp, offered over eight weeks during the summer. Campers will make new friends, work on group projects, and experience fresh air, fun games, and opportunities to build life-long skills! Each day, kids will participate in outdoor activities including disc golf, tennis, hiking, gaga ball, archery, kayaking, biking, swimming, camp zip lines, giant swing, ATV tours, water slide, fishing, and more!

    Campers will be grouped based on age. All six- and seven-year-olds will be in the same group, allowing us to provide age-appropriate activities. Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9am to 4pm.

    Blue Mountain Resort: Summer Adventure Camp

    Blue Mountain Adventure Camp is a summer youth camp packed with outdoor adventures for kids ages 5 to 15! Through guidance and positive encouragement, campers are motivated to face challenges that build confidence, enhance leadership abilities and create long-lasting memories.

    Field trips are now included in the price of summer camp!

    Day and Overnight camps available.

    Campers 7 & older will go Whitewater Rafting on the Lehigh River! This is a full day trip with a picnic along the riverbank halfway through.

    Campers 5 and 6 years old will take a trip to the Historic Palmerton Pool and enjoy a cold treat!

    Community Music School: Summer Music Camps & Workshops

    Embark on an extraordinary musical journey this summer at Community Music School!

    Experienced musicians can take their skills to the next level, and kids and teens can explore various instruments to discover their interests, unlock their creativity, and create lasting memories.   One-day, one-week, and two-week camps in musical theater, piano, violin, ukulele, percussion, & music production begin June 17.  Financial aid is available.

    Performing ensembles and private music lessons in piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, and voice are also offered throughout the summer for children, teens, and adults.  Summer students will have the opportunity to perform at Musikfest on Thursday, August 8, 2024.  

    Community Music School is located at 16th & Hamilton Streets in Allentown.  Free parking is available in the lot directly behind the building.

    Da Vinci Science Center

    Lehigh University Summer Camps

    CHOICES Summer Camps:

    The Summer CHOICES Engineering Camp is a popular hands-on learning experience in engineering and science for 6th, 7th, or 8th grade middle-school girls.

    The camp is designed to provide girls with the opportunity to participate in a variety of fun engineering and science experiments led by women engineers (students and faculty) from Lehigh University's P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science. Throughout this week-long camp, the girls will be introduced to a variety of fun and challenging activities that are organized by engineering mentors.

    Lehigh University AVENUES Program

    The AVENUES program is open to high-school-aged women in the Lehigh Valley community who are interested in learning more about various career paths in law enforcement. 

    During the week-long program, local agencies such as the Lehigh County Sheriff's Office, PA State Police, Lehigh Valley Airport Authority, and Homeland Security will help in providing an empowering and educational learning opportunity through site visits, demonstrations, and programming at their home agencies. Students will learn about each of the departments' staffing, mission, activities, and services.

    There is no cost to attend the AVENUES program and all students participating will be provided uniforms, lunch, and 10 hours of community service. Each student must be a high school woman ages 15-17, interested in learning more about different career options in law enforcement. Each student must submit an application including at least one reference from either a school mentor or school resource officer, and a letter of interest.     Lehigh Valley Zoo Summer Camps

    Lehigh Valley Zoo invites campers for an exciting week of nature discovery, animal adventures and Smart FUN! Week-long camps run for half days for ages 4-5 (available Mon-Fri from 9:00AM – 11:30AM), and full days for ages 6-11 (available Mon-Fri from 9:00AM – 3:30PM).

    Each camp is adapted to the theme of the week, as well as the varying age groups. Campers of all ages will enjoy age-appropriate activities, adventures, and games. From up-close encounters with our Ambassador Animals and visits to our zoo animals, to creek studies and nature hikes, campers will become fully immersed in zoo life and will leave camp wanting to come back!

    Northampton Community College: Horizons for Youth

    Kids ask a lot of questions. The world is big and their curiosity about it is even bigger. That's why Northampton Community College created the Horizons for Youth program, providing opportunities for kids to discover, explore, learn and have fun all year long.

    Students from kindergarten through high school participate in Horizons courses and workshops at either of the 2 Bethlehem locations or NCC's Pocono Campus. Courses focus on everything from academic enrichment, arts and crafts, cooking, science, athletics, and much more. There are also Parent and Kid courses where parents can participate in hands-on activities with their kids.

    YLEAD: Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley

    YLEAD is a summer service leadership and service program for high school students in the Lehigh Valley. Participants develop critical leadership skills while working to support nonprofit organizations through service projects and volunteering in the Lehigh Valley. Youth in the program are provided with the encouragement, peer networks, and leadership skills necessary for them to make meaningful connections and contributions to their communities.  Students will have opportunities to meet other like-minded peers, and community leaders, learn about career paths, and service opportunities to pursue after camp as well as during.

    July 8 to July 12, 2024

    Program runs 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

    YMCA: Camp Lehigh

    Welcome to Camp Lehigh and Camp Northampton 2024. Our YMCA summer day camp programs engage elementary-age children at eight locations throughout Lehigh and Northampton counties. We offer traditional adventure camps with age-appropriate activities including sports, games, arts, music, swimming, sciences and more.

    Campers will embark on a fun adventure together with friends; where no two adventures are ever the same. All of our activities and adventures are done in a fun, safe, educational environment, facilitated by our exceptional, highly motivated staff.
