Catasauqua Area School District Open Records
The Catasauqua Area School District recognizes the importance of making public records available for review and inspection by members of the public. Therefore, the public has the right to access and procure copies of those district records which are public records, with certain exceptions, subject to law, Board policy and administrative regulations. Local agencies, such as the district, are permitted and required to set policy governing that access.

In order to constitute a written request to the Catasauqua Area School District, you must use the State Form as provided here. If you do not include the Standard RTKL request form, it will just be a "request" which we may choose to answer, but need not. Only a proper written request must be answered and may be appealed to OOR.

The OOR is required to "develop a uniform [request] form which shall be accepted by all Commonwealth and local agencies" (Section 505(a) of the Right-to-Know Law). Pursuant to that duty, the OOR has issued its new version of the Standard Right-to-Know Law Request Form.
As required by Section 505(a) of the RTKL, all Commonwealth and local agencies must accept RTKL requests submitted on the new Standard RTKL Request Form.
The OOR maintains a database of Agency Open Records Officer ("AORO") contact information for every registered agency in the Commonwealth. This AORO database allows the public to contact the correct AORO to request agency records and ensures that the OOR can contact AOROs in the event an appeal is filed with the OOR.
